CREATIVE FUNCTION OF CITIES: AN ASSESSMENT FOR TURKEY'S PROVINCES

Creative provinces are largely composed of people who able to make free decisions, have a high level education, and engaged in solving quite complex problems. In this study, Florida et al. (2008) using the "Global Creativity Index" developed by him, creativity Turkey was calculated results were evaluated with spatial focus. According index, most creative province is Kocaeli. Kocaeli followed Ankara Isparta. The lowest value Hakkâri, Şırnak Mardin. It seen that nearby Ankara, Istanbul, which index values, also values.
